OK, so today everyone thinks Craigslist when they think about classifieds, or when they think about posting a free advertisement, or when they think about finding a new relationship online or finding a used car in their local area. That’s great (not), I am glad you could find your stuff, but now let me keep it real for you. Craigslist is fine, but seriously, they could be so much better. They say they are all about helping people trade easily and for free, but they charge you to post job classified ads, and have not taken advantage of the rapidly growing social media world to help people advertise their ads better. Alternatives? Locanto. Seriously its awesome. The layout is cleaner, social media is implemented to help you get your ad out to a larger audience, and the site is offered in over 1000 cities in over 38 countries, and 5 languages. The site is new, so there aren’t as many ads on the site as Craigslist, YET, but hey, that will change; lets be real.

Craigslist has good intentions, but that being said, Ebay owns a good portion of the company now. Sellout?… And while on the subject of intentions, they say they are against scam at Craigslist, but they have failed to back up this claim with quality scam prevention and awareness promotion.

What are Locanto’s intentions? Locanto.com actually believes that providing local communities all over the world with a free trading platform is a good investment in the growth of communities, and in turn an investment in the growth of economies. “Good” business is good business, if you get what I mean. Online bartering has increased due to the global economic crisis: small businesses have found growth and success in online free ads, and some people are bartering just to put food on the table. Locanto realizes this, and it is catering its growing services to the growing needs of communities. Furthermore, Locanto addresses scam head-on with its professional customer support team and its regularly updated Safer Trading Blog.

Trade Locally, trade Locanto, and never Lose. And make sure you stay up-to-date on the world of classifieds with the Locanto Classifieds Blog.
